Event description
In this free webinar, Emma Stockburn, a Family History Research Facilitator at the Parramatta Research Team will discuss aspects of her role

About this event

Sick of lockdown isolation? Then join us for this free and live online webinar to delve into the role of the family history researcher in bringing our heritage to light.

Parramatta has played a central role in Australian history - and families are central to the story of Parramatta, from the Baramadagal family of Maugoran and Gooroobera, to the Macarthur wool dynasty and the legacy of our first Chinese migrant, John Sai Ying.

In this webinar, Emma Stockburn, a Family History Research Facilitator at the Parramatta Research Library, will discuss aspects of her role, and reveal the pivotal role of family history in building the greater story of Parramatta “from the ground up”.

Participants will be able to ask Emma questions about the role of a family history researcher, the family heritage unearthed in Parramatta and gain tips on how to discover their own family history.
