AN 80,000 WORD THESIS WOULD TAKE 9 HOURS TO PRESENT.
THEIR TIME LIMIT... JUST 3 MINUTES!
Founded by the University of Queensland in 2008, the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a communication competition that invites RHD students to present the significance of their research to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes.
Since its inception, 3MT® has grown well beyond UQ’s sandstone walls – in 2016, more than 340 higher education institutions across six continents have held or will hold a 3MT® event.
This year, we are incredibly excited to expand our Trans-Tasman competition! On the last day of September, UQ will welcome the winners from 50 university finals across Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia to our St Lucia campus for a thrilling day of heats and finals!
Please join us in celebrating these students and their incredible research. Come along to the Advanced Engineering building and cheer on your favourite as they battle it out for the ultimate title of Asia-Pacific 3MT® champion!
