Artist talk - Jack Bromell at Bull Creek Library
Event Information
About this Event
We are excited to announce well-known Western Australian artist Jack Bromell will be creating and installing a new mural artwork for Bull Creek Library and Community Centre.
Bromell’s artwork will be inspired by the curatorial theme of "Habitat" from our Public Art Strategy, which is described as anchoring us to place, nurturing and strengthening our sense of self and community’s collective identity.
Bromell has developed an iconic style and creates large-scale, murals depicting flora and fauna. He most recently took part in the Collie Mural Artwork Trail by creating “Karda” (pictured ).
Bromell will begin installing the exterior mural in March/April 2021.
We will be holding an artist talk with Jack on Saturday, 20 March. Jack will talk about his career , explain his process and tell us about the progress of the mural artwork so far.
Please meet at the entrance to the Library. This talk will involve walking around the exterior of the building, however the majority of the talk will be held indoors with seating. The Bull Creek Library and Community Centre is completely accessible.
