‘From a Different Angle’

MULTI-AWARD winning Clarence Valley photographer, Adam Hourigan, will share some of the secrets of his trade when he presents an artist’s talk at the Grafton Regional Gallery next month.

Mr Hourigan, who has been chief photographer at The Daily Examiner for many years and is an award-winning commercial photographer, will If you love photography, come and listen to Adam Hourigan present an artist talk at Grafton Regional Gallery, in Prentice House East. He will be revealing some of the tips and tricks to get great compositions, something he’s learnt after many years of experience as a photojournalist for the Daily Examiner.

He will discuss what makes a good photo, how to tell a story in a picture, how to capture the attention of an audience, as well as some of the exciting moments of being a photo-journalist.

The photographs in DEX: Best of 2017 Photography was curated by Adam, and represents just a few of the thousands of stories tThe Daily Examiner covers and the people they meet each year.

Exhibited in the gallery and away from the newsprint, this select group of photos highlights Clarence Valley, its community and gives new life and new vision to their stories.
