About this event
Please note that this program is suitable for adults, and is an exhibition and artist talk. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event.
Sky Edwards (they/them) is a local Perth artist, whose work mostly deals with the natural world, ecology, environmental concerns, and horror or the Weird. They also touch on queer experience as a nonbinary person. Their work combines many media in each piece, often starting with macro photography, sometimes involving neural networks to mutate or modify the images, and presenting the results as paintings or drawings.
Sky spent the month of May as Artist in Residence at the Midland Courtyard Studio. In this talk and exhibition, Sky will take us through their creative process, artistic inspiration and development, and finish with a display of the pieces created during the Residency. Artwork will be available for purchase during the exhibition.
In accordance with hygiene requirements, social distancing will be maintained throughout this program and hand sanitizing stations and cleaning products will be available for use.
Please book in as spaces are limited. For all inquiries contact Midland Public Library on (08) 9267 9020.
