Art Workshop: Cardbirds with Tom Buckland
Overview
Using recycled cardboard participants will learn to sculpt a three dimensional free standing bird. These birds are easy to make and full of character and personality. This is a great introduction to basic sculpture techniques and a wonderful way to creatively utilise recycled materials. Workshop participants will take home their own handmade bird!
Tom Buckland is a Canberra based artist known for his use of recycled materials and intricate bird sculptures. Tom dabbles in sculpture, performance and video and has exhibited widely nationally and internationally.
This workshop is open to anyone keen to have a go. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent/carer. Materials are provided - just bring your imagination! This is a free event, however spaces are limited. Secure your spot by registering now.
If you have any access, or support requirements in order to participate fully, please let us know to ensure that we can arrange any reasonable adjustments. Contact: Cultural.Services@qprc.nsw.gov.au
