SARAH THORNTON-SMITH Colour and me

Sarah explores connections in her works made out of paper, soft woods and metal foils, and will talk about her journey into the world of colour and how it has shaped the way she looks around her.

Sarah Thornton-Smith is an artist/designer who works primarily with colour. Arriving from Singapore in her early teens, she became curious about the light quality here in Western Australia which contrasted with her formative experience of light bound by tropical lushness. Her curiosity piqued, it naturally led her to her lifelong fascination with colour and its many connections.
