Event description

Description

This school holiday intensive is for VCE Studio Arts students and teachers and will focus on key knowledge and skills required for Unit 3, Area of Study 3: Art Industry Contexts.

Participants will gain insight into the methods and considerations involved in the preparation, presentation and conservation of artworks for ACCA’s Yalingwa exhibition, to develop understanding of the artists’ and curators’ consideration of how artworks are displayed within the exhibition.

Yalingwa is an exhibition composed of significant new commissions from thirteen Indigenous artists, providing a unique opportunity to learn about how contemporary artists and curators work together to prepare and present artworks.

On the day participants will hear from an artist, the curator, exhibitions manager and other key members of ACCA’s artistic and development teams.
