Description

Immerse yourself in art and nature...pencils and petals

Learn various techniques to create an array of textures and patterns, under the expert guidance of local artist Carol Bann. Be inspired by the fauna and flora in Cox Scrub, in particular the stunning springtime displays of native orchids, which we will learn about from the Native Orchid Society of South Australia. Practise drawing from life and photographs along with creating a pleasing composition and researching your subject and environment.

Location: Cox Scrub Conservation Park is located 70 kilometers south of Adelaide. Head through the town of Ashbourne, onto Bull Creek Road for approximately five kilometers south of the township.

Cost: $50 per person which includes lunch.

You will need to bring: Camera, Smooth paper, either watercolour paper or good quality smooth drawing paper, piece of A4 printer paper, some hard and soft pencils (H hard and B soft), eraser, pencil sharpener, paper stomp, embossing tool (or fine knitting needle) and reference photographs if you prefer.
