Description

Immerse yourself in art and nature...creatures in clay

Looking for a fun and educational day out for the kids this school holidays? This is it! This workshop is a fantastic opportunity for kids to get in touch with their creative sides in a wonderful natural setting. Learn all about the animals and plants in the park, and create creatures from Fimo clay to take home!

Adelaide Hills artist Tania Kunze will be teaching children how to mould polymer clay into creatures of their choice, which will be fired on site and ready to take home on the same day! Kids will be inspired by the wildlife in the park, and local ecologist Kylie Moritz will be talking about the importance of the park in providing valuable habitat for these animals and plants.

Artist: Tania Kunze

Scientist: Kylie Moritz

Location: Travel out of Murray Bridge on Maurice Road, around three and a half kilometres (from the Adelaide Road turn off), the parking bay and walking trail access is located on the Right.

Cost: $20 per child, $5 per adult. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Ticket cost for children includes materials and lunch. Ticket cost for adults includes lunch.

The Inspiring South Australia program is supported by the Australian Government through the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, the South Australian Department of State Development, the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia, Flinders University and the South Australian Museum.
