Description

To celebrate International Day of People with Disability, the City of Subiaco has partnered with Mission Australia to deliver an art exhibition from 3 to 18 December 2020 at Subiaco Library. All community members are invited to attend the launch event on Friday 4 December from 6pm to 7.30pm. If unable to attend, you can still visit the art exhibition which will be open from 3 to 18 December 2020 during the library's opening times.

The art exhibition aims to build the capacity of 13 local artists with disability to showcase themselves as professional artists, create an opportunity for civic participation and community participation post COVID-19, and celebrate the stories of local people with disability while raising community awareness in the process.

Light refreshments will be served.

The event will open with speeches from City of Subiaco and Mission Australia followed by a panel discussion with some of the participating artists.

Each artist can bring up to two additional guests due to current restrictions (e.g. a carer and a family member). If you have more than two guests, please contact Natalia Shah, Community Development Officer via email natalias@subiaco.wa.gov.au on Wednesday 2 December to enquire about additional tickets.

Ticket information

You are not required to bring a ticket with you. However, names will be checked at the door for this event.
