These capacity building sessions have been developed to strengthen your understanding of NDIS access, eligibility and application processes.
About this event
Join us to find out more about how the Disability Connect and Outreach Program (DCOP), Assessment and Referral Team (ART) has supported over 2,000 Queenslanders with disability to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
These capacity building sessions are designed to build an enduring knowledge of NDIS access related process knowledge with Child Safety attendees and will cover:
Diagnosis and permanence of disability
- Exploring diagnosis and permanence of disability in the context of NDIS access criteria
- Evidencing list A and list B criteria; specifically Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Evidencing psychosocial impairment and physical impairment
- Understanding dual diagnosis
Substantially reduced functional capacity
- Exploring the six functional domains
- Sample prompting questions and examples
