Description
ARMI is proud to present an evening masterclass with Tim Charles of Ne Obliviscaris.
A one hour class focusing on the future of the music industry. Guiding aspiring musicians on management approaches, with particular focus on self management and empowering artists to take their careers into their own hands. Followed by a half hour meet and greet.
Ne Obliviscaris are touring across Australia and New Zealand this February in support of their new album Urn which was released in October 2017.
NeO spent most of 2017 preparing for the release of Urn and this will be their first-ever appearance in New Zealand, along with the first time playing to their Australian fans since December 2016 when they closed the door on their epic Citadel album campaign which saw them perform to tens of thousands of people around the world, in Asia, the Middle East, Australia, North America and Europe, including at many of the world’s biggest festivals, across 2015-16.
Tim Charles is a professional violinist, singer, manager, promoter and entrepreneur. After more than 20 years of classical violin training he became somewhat distracted by the world of heavy metal and following many years as one of the countries leading local promoters and booking agents he now spends most of his time touring across the world as the violinist, clean vocalist, booking agent and manager for one of Australia's biggest international metal exports, NE OBLIVISCARIS. Having orchestrated the bands record breaking world tour crowd funding campaign in 2014 that saw over $86,000AUD raised towards the bands first world tour, he continued to show a penchant for forward thinking in the music industry by devising and launching an ambitious membership campaign for Ne Obliviscaris through PATREON. Launched in March 2016, it has already raised over $300,000AUD for the band, and continues to deliver steady income on a monthly basis in exchange for exclusive fan content and experiences. Tim is also the owner, promoter, booking agent and label manager at Welkin Entertainment, renowned for promoting many successful metal, rock & prog shows over the years, including the annual PROGFEST Festival which tours nationwide.
