The January 2017 RealKM Connect seminar explores the practical application of standards to knowledge processes. Guest presenter, Arthur Shelley, will run through the existing ISO and AU standards and guidelines, and an audit of knowledge processes using the Knowledge Ready Organization assessment criteria (aligned with the standards' requirements).
Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to use the material to create a prioritised plan for application with a real or theoretical business environment.
About the presenter
Arthur Shelley is a capability development and knowledge strategy consultant with over 30 years' professional experience. He has held a variety of professional roles including managing international projects in Australia, Europe, Asia and the USA, and teaches Knowledge Management in RMIT University's MBA program and Project Leadership in the Master of Project Management.
Arthur represents Standards Australia on the committee that has developed the draft ISO KM standard. He is also the developer of the assessment criteria for the IKMS (Singapore) Knowledge Ready Organisation and the judge for this international award, and the author of the new book KNOWledge SUCCESSion.
About the facilitator
RealKM Connect is facilitated by Amanda Surrey, a strategic Knowledge Management professional with extensive experience in global business environments, including BHP Billiton where she worked for the past 14 years.
She has planned, managed and executed innovative knowledge management solutions that have enhanced workforce intelligence and overall organisational competitiveness.
Amanda holds post graduate qualifications in Information Management, and a Master of Arts.
