ArcGIS for Desktop Flexi-workshop (PM)

Description
What's an ArcGIS for Desktop Flexi-workshop?
It's where you get to have a say in which workshop content will be taught!
How does it work?
-
You register for the scheduled date so we know you are committed to attending
-
You choose which workshop you would like to have taught
-
As soon as TWO (or more) students have registered for a particular workshop that content gets locked in
-
Anyone who chose an alternative workshop is offered the one that has been locked in to attend, or a full refund!
Why do we offer ArcGIS for Desktop training in this flexible manner?
Instead of always scheduling a particular workshop on a particular day, and not being certain that they are being advertised at the time and with the content to suit you, a Flexi-workshop initially just locks down the time, and leaves the content choice in your hands - at least until we have a quorum to lock that down too!
Ready to order?
The workshops you can choose from when placing your order are:
- ArcGIS Quick Start for Australian Coordinate Systems
- ArcGIS for Desktop Quick Start for File Geodatabases
- ArcGIS for Desktop Quick Start for Map Books (Data Driven Pages)
- ArcGIS for Desktop Quick Start for OpenStreetMap
- ArcGIS for Desktop Quick Start for Python Add-Ins
- ArcPy Quick Start for Data Access (arcpy.da)
For workshop descriptions and any pre-requisites please follow the links above.
All courses are taught by an ArcGIS Specialist with 25+ years of continuous experience in training, consulting and supporting Esri products.
The training afternoon runs from 1:30-5:00am (but arrival at or soon after 1:00 is recommended) and expected class sizes are around 6 students.
Afternoon tea, and all afternoon coffee/tea, water, snacks, etc are included.
NOTE:
Participants are required to bring their own laptop (or PC) with ArcGIS for Desktop 10.1 or 10.2 installed, and to have tested that their configuration is working disconnected from any internet connection prior to attending the training. If your laptop is able to access a public internet then wireless is available to browse online help etc, but this is NOT required for any of the exercises. If the course you choose has Python and or ArcPy in its name, you will also need to ensure that the version of Python installed is the one that is installed by your ArcGIS version.
Only a Basic (formerly called ArcView) license with no extensions is required.
Whether your laptop (or PC) meets the Minimum (and preferably Recommended) specification can be checked against the ArcGIS 10.1 for Desktop System Requirements which include a test which can be run to do so. The training venue will provide a large monitor, keyboard, mouse and internet access.
Bringing your own laptop and ArcGIS license enables us to deliver this training for $329 (inc GST) which is discounted from its RRP of $399. If you have some of your own data on your laptop you will be able to re-run exercises of interest against that while still in the classroom. It also lets you know that all course exercises can be revised later in your office or at home!
If you are unable to provide your own laptop and ArcGIS license, or are unable to purchase using the Credit Card facilities provided here, please contact Graeme Browning (graeme@polygeo.com.au; 0412 038 384) direct or via the Contact the Organizer button.
