Event description

Description

Arabic Dardasha Meetups are a social friendly space to interact in Arabic, "dardasha" is an Arabic colloquial expression meaning "informal chat". The aim is to speak in Arabic during the whole session. Those with limited knowledge of Arabic will be assisted to understand, and we believe that more exposure to the language will be of benefit to all.

In June, you will have the opportunity to speak about one photo/object/item you keep to remind you of an Arabic speaking country, what it represents and why you value it. In addition, we would like to learn singing some folkloric Arabic songs and playing traditional board games popular in the Middle East.

Come along and enjoy the session. No pressure to prepare for elaborate talk, keep it simple and relax!

Booking is essential. If you are new to the group we would ask you to introduce yourself and describe your connections to Arabic before confirming your booking.
