Take part in a sound-based creative workshop with APT8 artists Super Critical Mass (Julian Day and Luke Jaaniste). You will use The Federation Handbells to explore the unique acoustics of the Gallery, and find out more about their practice which merges performance, music and art.
All materials are provided. Free, bookings essential – places are strictly limited. The Federation Handbells are managed by Museum Victoria on behalf of Creative Victoria.
Guidelines
- You must be 12 years or older to participate in this workshop.
- Please note this workshop features physical activity, with lifting of heavy bells (2kg +) involved.

Take part in this series of sound-based creative workshops with APT8 artists Super Critical Mass (Julian Day and Luke Jaaniste), whose practice merges sound, space and social relations. You will use the Federation Handbells to explore the unique acoustics of the Gallery and contribute toward the creative development of a final massed performance on the closing weekend of APT8 (Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 April 2016).
Each workshop will build upon the last, so come along to as many as you like! You don't need any prior musical training. Drop ins welcome, no bookings required.
