Approaching Employers with Confidence for 2021 Jobseekers
Event Information
About this Event
Note: it is highly recommended that you first attend the following workshops: “How to Write Winning Resumés and Cover Letters” and “Promote Yourself on LinkedIn for Job Search” and (if applicable) “How to Address Selection Criteria in a Job Application”.
Statistics tell us that over 70% of job opportunities are in the “hidden job market”.
Learning how to approach employers is a key skill if you want to succeed in a competitive job market. In this interactive workshop, our Skills and Job Centre staff guide you through a process that will enable you to understand how to approach employers for your job search.
In this workshop:
• You will understand what a Unique Value Proposition is and why you need one.
• You will learn how to approach recruiters via LinkedIn for increased job search success.
• Cold calling employer approaches will be discussed and then practiced with other workshop attendees in a small group setting.
THIS SESSION IS OPEN TO VICTORIAN RESIDENTS.
This workshop is delivered online by the RMIT Skills and Jobs Centre. You will be sent a webinar link via email before the meeting with easy to follow instructions.
All workshops are live and interactive with Q&A opportunities so participants can ask any questions they may have.
