Real Talk: Supporting your colleagues with their mental health
Overview
The headspace University Support Program is hosting a short, practical workshop on staff wellbeing and how to have relevant, safe and supportive conversations with colleagues who are experiencing mental health difficulties while still protecting your own wellbeing. We welcome any staff member of any Australian university, regardless of your role.
The University Support Program is funded by the Australian Government to provide mental health and suicide postvention guidance to all Australian universities and their staff at no cost. This workshop will focus on:
- Overview of the mental health needs of university staff
- Empathy-based stress as a model for understanding wellbeing challenges
- Real Talk NIP it in the Bud framework refresher
- Sustainable self-care strategies

This session will be delivered by a webinar online and will not be recorded.
