Description

The Data Linkage Branch now offers a tailored workshop for researchers and other applicants interested in applying for linked data. Both new and experienced researchers can benefit from the workshop, which covers these core essentials:

  • the data linkage process
  • the preparation of data
  • the datasets available to researchers
  • ethical considerations
  • the application process

By the end of the course we hope you will:

  • understand the roles of DLB, Custodians and Department of Health Human Research Ethics Committee and Research Governance Office
  • understand the application for linked data process
  • understand the data governance framework
  • understand the obligations of researchers
  • navigate the application process confidently

Important Information

  • This is an interactive workshop that encourages participant involvement
  • There will be additional time after the workshop for attendees to as project-specific questions.
  • Pre-reading and course material will be provided to you one week prior to the workshop.
  • Workshops require a minimum of 15 registrations to proceed. If there are insufficient registrations, then the workshop will be cancelled one week prior to the scheduled date.
  • Generally, interest in these workshops is high and they fill up fast. If you book a place but then cannot attend, please cancel your booking as soon as possible so the place can be offered to others.
