Applied Principles of Church Leadership Intensive

Before the beginning of the teaching period in 2021, SBC will be running the subject MIN405 Applied Principles of Church Leadership as an intensive.
Taught by The Rev'd Dr Don Owers, the event will run from from Monday 22/2 - Thursday 25/2.
Each day will begin at 9:30am and conclude at 4:15pm with breaks in between sessions.
The course presents:
- A Christian understanding of leadership
- A set of leadership disciplines that are grounded in evidence-based research and that can be learned and applied and
- A model for understanding organisational complexity that will help you think critically about key situations and thus to respond with wisdom and artistry.
The course will include a number of presentations from guest speakers:
- 22/2: The Most Rev'd Geoff Smith* on “What I'm looking for in church leaders”
- 23/2: Mr Keith Adams* on “What lay people want from church leaders”
- 24/2: The Rev'd Dr Cheryl McCallum* on “Challenges for women in church leadership”
- 25/2: The Rev'd Dr Tim Hein* on “Leading a local church in challenging times”
Attendance of the whole intensive costs $120
Attendance of the Monday session with the Archbishop costs $30
BYO lunch.
