Description

Semester 2 Academic Dinner: the Past versus the Future

It’s that time again! Join us for our second (and final!) Academic Dinner for the year, accompanied by a two course Dinner and drinks. Hear from five fascinating and unexpected academics state their case on the topic: “Is looking to the past or to the future more important in academic research?”

Entry is free for all Fenner residents, however due to the nature of the event, seats are strictly limited. Registration will go live at 8:30pm on Monday the 14th of August. An invitation to register will be emailed to all Fenner residents via their Uni email. Tickets will go on a first in best dressed basis and are likely to be snapped up quickly so make sure you register ASAP! However, if you miss out, you will have the opportunity to join a waitlist.

Doors open at 6:00pm at which point drinks and canapes will be served. The speakers will begin presenting from 6:30pm, followed by dinner at 7:30 and further speeches at 8:00pm. Each academic will present their case on the topic, while also discussing their own exciting research careers. After the formalities have finished, feel free to stick around and mingle with your peers or our guest speakers.

Keep an eye out for posters over the coming weeks where we will reveal the identities of our guest speakers!
