It's one of the more important pieces of the comfort and energy puzzle that is Passivhaus - the ventilation unit, or mechancial ventilation with heat recovery. Also known as MVHR, the system is largely responsible for keeping a building fresh and comfortable.
For this event, the Hobart Chapter will be convening to hear from both the experts and the end-user about what it is, why it's used and the user experience in a functioning project. We'll cover:
Passive, active or hybrid ventilation: what works;
How MVHR works in with required extracts and the NCC;
What it means for energy use & comfort; and
The place of MVHR in low-energy buildings.
Further informaton, developments of Passive House Projects by Justin O'Connor (Certified Passive House Tradesperson) and Detlev Geard (Australian Passive House Representative for the Hobart Group).
