Event description
Online information session for the Victorian government's Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) COVID Workforce Initiative.

About this event

As part of the 2020-21 state budget, the Victorian government has announced an AOD COVID Workforce Initiative. $25.62million will be invested over two years to employ 100 new AOD workers in the state-funded AOD sector, who will provide support to Victorians on waiting lists and those who have disengaged from treatment during the pandemic.

The Department of Health recently opened a submission process to determine how funding for this initiative will be allocated to state-funded service providers. Submissions have been invited from all state-funded AOD service providers.

This online information session will discuss the submission process and provide an opportunity for questions to be raised by AOD service representatives. Please register for this session through Eventbrite and an invite to the session will be sent to you via email.

Questions about the submission process can also be sent to aod.enquiries@dhhs.vic.gov.au
