ANZSIL Gender and Sexuality in International Law Interest Group Workshop
Event Information
About this Event
The ANZSIL Gender and Sexuality in International Law Interest Group is a community that seeks to explore issues in international law through intersectional feminist and queer theory lenses. Formed in July 2019, we are committed to being an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive community. In the spirit of exploration and inclusion, we are holding our inaugural workshop on Monday, 17 February 2020 at Deakin University’s Downtown Campus.
The day will consist predominantly of the presentation of works in progress, to allow these authors to get valuable feedback on these research projects (see draft conference program here). A highlight of the day will be a Q&A session on planning for a long career, aimed at providing early career academics and practitioners with advice from experienced legal academics and practitioners. The panel features: Prof Di Otto (MLS), Prof Sundhya Pahuja (MLS), Associate Prof Wayne Morgan (ANU), Dr Sarah McCosker (Lexbridge Lawyers), and Prof Felicity Gerry QC (DLS).
Please join us for what promises to be an engaging day discussing many important issues.
