About this event

Teachers, book a free school tour of Anzac Square & Memorial Galleries and allow your students to explore the people, places and stories that underpin Queensland's military history. Our knowledgeable guides will bring history to life as they lead your students through the interactive exhibition, engaging them in an authentic, participatory learning process. Through this tour, students can discover the local significance of Australia's war history and uncover the stories of Queenslanders who showed remarkable courage, resilience, bravery, and selflessness during times of conflict.

Our free guided tours operate weekdays at 10:30am, 11:30am, and 12:30pm, and run for approximately 45 minutes. Tours can be tailored to suit all year levels, areas of study, and specific timeframes.

Number of attendees

Tour groups are limited to a maximum of 30 participants including supervising adults. One adult supervisor is required for each group of 30 students. A maximum of 2 tour groups (60 participants) are available during each time slot. Larger groups may wish to book across multiple time slots and are welcome to do so.

Access

Please let us know, via the booking form, if members of your group have accessibility requirements. All interactive screens in the galleries are wheelchair accessible. Ambulant toilets are also available in the Post World War II Memorial Gallery.
