Event Details

On Friday 21 August 2015 the ANU Research School of Astronomy & Astrophysics is attempting to set two new world records - most people stargazing at a single site (Mount Stromlo Observatory) and most people stargazing across multiple sites in a country.

The official world record attempt will take place at precisely 8.30 pm (AEST). The target is to have at least 2,700 people looking skyward at this time across the country.

The Melbourne Alumni Network has registered our very own ANU House on Collins Street as an official stargazing site with Guinness World Records.
