ANU Grand Challenges Finalists
Event Information
Description
One of the reasons ANU stands apart from other universities is our ability to look beyond the day to day and address some of the biggest problems facing the world.
The Grand Challenge Scheme is a new ANU program that calls on researchers to identify a problem or challenge that research can address.
What's unique about the program is the way it seeks to bring people together from all across the University to bring new perspectives to a major challenge confronting society.
It’s an ambitious and broad reaching initiative designed to fund long-term programmes of research.
Following an exciting process that saw a number of innovative research proposals put forward, three ANU Grand Challenge Scheme teams have been selected. Their final task is a public ‘pitch’ for up to $10 million to support their ground-breaking research.
Please join us on Tuesday 31 October to hear about some of the great research at ANU and support the teams.
