About this event

Acclaimed actress Robin Wright makes her directorial debut with this poignant and sincere drama about one woman’s search for meaning in nature.

In an aftermath of an unfathomable tragedy, Edee (Wright) resists the help of her loved ones and instead escapes for a new life amidst the untamed wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. She throws her phone away, ditches her rental vehicle, and takes up occupancy in a deserted cabin that has been owned by her family for generations. For the first time, she is completely and fully off-the-grid with no electricity, no means of communication or travel – and no idea what she’s doing.

Having underestimated the harsh, unforgiving conditions of the mountains, it’s not long before Edee is on the brink of death. By sheer chance, she is found by a hunter, Miguel (Demián Bichir), who nurses her back to health. Over time, he trains her on how to live life in the outdoors – as she, in turn, learns to live life again.
