About this event

In this online festival, we invite you to engage with the Antarctic Youth Coalition and meet with the representatives and members from the Antarctic gateway cities of Hobart (Australia), Cape Town (South Africa), Christchurch (New Zealand), Punta Arenas (Chile) and Ushuaia (Argentina). This event is an opportunity for you to meet the young leaders from Antarctic cities, ask questions, provide feedback and contribute to the development of these ongoing activities. The event will have live discussions, games and fun Antarctic-related activities! Hope to see you there!

• Antarctic Futures: an online open source serious game co-developed and played by young people across the five Antarctic cities.

Project Partners

The Antarctic Youth Coalition was born from the Antarctic Cities Project, led by Professor Juan Francisco Salazar from Western Sydney University (WSU). This project is a partnership between the WSU, University of Tasmania, Hobart City Council, Tasmanian Department of State Growth, the Antarctic Office (New Zealand), Christchurch City Council, University of Canterbury, Universidad de Magallanes, Chilean Antarctic Institute (INACH) and key partners in New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and South Africa.

This online event is supported by the Antarctic Cities Project and the Hobart City Council.

Acerca del evento

En este festival en línea, te invitamos a participar en la Coalición de Jóvenes Antárticos y a reunirte con los y las representantes de las ciudades puertas de entrada a la Antártica de Hobart (Australia), Ciudad del Cabo (Sudáfrica), Christchurch (Nueva Zelandia), Punta Arenas (Chile) y Ushuaia (Argentina). Este evento es una oportunidad para que conozcas a los jóvenes líderes que representan a cada una de las ciudades antárticas, hagas preguntas, compartas información y contribuyas al desarrollo de estas actividades en curso. El evento tendrá discusiones en vivo, juegos y actividades divertidas relacionadas con la Antártica! Esperamos verlos allí!
