Mr Pallas recently oversaw the delivery of the Victorian Government Budget 2022-23 – Putting patients first – his eighth budget as Treasurer. With the pandemic putting unprecedented pressure on our health system, the Government is investing in the infrastructure and workers to help ensure Victorians receive the care they need.
It comes at a time when Victoria’s economy is forecast to rebound strongly, business confidence is high and unemployment is at a record low. There is reason to be optimistic.
Having released our Benchmarking Melbourne 2022 report, which offers data-driven insights into Melbourne’s performance, we look forward to discussing with the Treasurer how the budget will support Melbourne’s development, as well as opportunities to capitalise on the city’s strengths.
