Keynote speaker for the 2021 QRC/WIMARQ International Women's Day Breakfast presented by Anglo American is Dr Xiaoling Liu, Chancellor of QUT and an industry leader with a passion for technology and higher education. Dr Liu is a highly experienced company director with extensive senior executive management and operations expertise in the minerals sector.

Our compere is veteran Australian journalist Jennifer Byrne who will also moderate the Great Debate to follow the breakfast.

The breakfast, which incorporates the presentation of the annual Resources Awards for Women, is an exceptional professional development event for people working in Queensland’s resources sector.

The awards recognise and promote company and individual achievements in improving the gender balance in our sector.

The breakfast and awards form part of the QRC’s Women in Resources Action Plan to increase the proportion of women in Queensland’s resources sector. The awards provide a platform to develop ambassadors, role models, champions and mentors to aid the attraction, retention and development of women in the resources sector.

Award winners again take home Australian Institute of Management scholarships, including a $32,000 MBA course for the Exceptional Woman in Queensland Resources category.

Breakfast tickets include FREE admission to the Great Debate.
