Event description

Description

The Australian National Fabrication Facility's Queensland Node (ANFF-Q) are delighted to invite you on the ANFF-Q Coffee Tour.

This tour is an opportunity to explore the extensive ANFF-Q facilities located at UQ and talk with the team to discuss how you can use these facilities to advance your research.

Many agriculture and food scientists are already using ANFF-Q facilities. Here are some recent papers supported by ANFF-Q facilities and expertise:

Extraction and characterization of a novel Terminalia pectin

Designed synthesis of organosilica nanoparticles for enzymatic biodiesel production

Investigation into the antibacterial activity of silver, zinc oxide and copper oxide nanoparticles against poultry-relevant isolates of Salmonella and Campylobacter

Rheological and structural properties of complex arabinoxylans from Plantago ovata seed mucilage under non-gelled conditions

The ANFF-Q Coffee Tour will start over coffee at Café Nano’s, where we will discuss your project and how you might use ANFF-Q facilities expertise to further your research. We will follow this with a tailored tour of ANFF-Q’s advanced micro- and nano-fabrication and characterisation facilities on the UQ campus.

Come along and discuss your research idea – we'll give you expert guidance on how to achieve your outcomes.

Café Nano is located at an entrance to the AIBN Building at The University of Queensland.
