Description

Come along and join the conversation about bush food and bush medicine harvesting

  • Hear from traditional harvesters who manage Country across central Australia and sustainably harvest bush foods and bush medicine
  • Network with the regions’ traditional harvesters, traders, manufacturers, producers and businesses and build new relationships and share ideas
  • Understand the different business models operating across the region and nationally
  • Learn how to protect indigenous ecological and cultural knowledge and build your brand
  • Explore emerging local, national and global markets
  • Provide direction on the future of the Industry

This workshop is part of the ANFAB “Growing the Grower” roadshow series across Australia showcasing the exciting developments and possibilities of the burgeoning native food and botanicals sector.
As the extraordinary health benefits and medicinal properties of unique Australian plants are being “discovered” the market demand is enormous, (especially from the national and international pharma and nutraceutical companies) and is far outstripping supply.
There are a number of opportunities to harvest on Country, grow, value-add and market native produce.
