Event description

Description

This symposium will explore the core topic ‘Pompeii and Herculaneum’, as well as a number of popular option topics. Special focus will be given to new research in the fields of Greek and Roman history, the new ancient history syllabus and how teachers can incorporate such research to deliver the best possible course to their students. The symposium will be of special relevance to those teachers teaching ancient history for the first time and for those seeking to engage with the new syllabus.

We also have 20 tickets reserved for the Sydney Ideas event Inside the Plaster: Scanning the Victims of Pompeii (Season 2017) with Estelle Lazer from 6-7:30, after the symposium.
