Using RAP, Exploring Moderation, Understanding Standard Setting to Enhance Teaching and Learning.
For Highly Accomplished Teachers

The Using RAP, Exploring Moderation, Understanding Standards-setting to Enhance Teaching and Learning workshop is a professional development course suitable for secondary school executive, that promotes self-reflection in teaching and learning practices. This is achieved by the participants using their own devices to:

  • Explore their individual schools’ Results Analysis Package to assess their student internal and external assessment data;

  • Reflect on their assessment program;

  • Examine the NESA moderation process and its impact on their school assessment data and how it might reflect and inform their particular school’s assessment procedures;

  • Understand the Standards-setting process and the student characteristics at each band through engagements with the refreshed Standards Materials.

Completing the Using RAP, Exploring Moderation, Understanding Standard Setting to Enhance Teaching and Learning workshop will contribute 2 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing standard descriptors 3.4.3; 5.4.3; and, 6.3.3 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Highly Accomplished Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Please note that participants will need to be able to access their school’s RAP data, via their own user-name and password.
