Event description

Description

Scar tissue is the end result of the body's own healing system. Surgery, falls and infections are some of the things that encourages the body to create scar tissue. We are often aware of our external scars but not always of our internal ones. Adhesions, our internal scars, can spread throughout the body as a result of injury or surgery and connect tissues that are not normally connected, impairing movement of bones or organs, causing numbness, discomfort or pain.

Castor oil massage, as developed by Ellen Heed, is a holistic, simple and natural way to bring life back to places of numbness, and healing to places of discomfort and pain.

This workshop is an introductory workshop to this body of work. It is for anyone who has scars they would like to heal or is intending to work with someone who has. It is especially relevant for people who had surgery or physical trauma in or on their abdomen, chest, or genitals, like mastectomies, birthing, sex reassignment surgeries, circumcisions and hysterectomy to name a few.

Although this is an experiential workshop will not be working on any erogenous zones during our time together.
