YOUR FACILITATOR IS CHRISTIAN FOURCARD

Christian came to mindfulness following a 10-day meditation retreat in 1990. The experience led to many more retreats in various forms of meditation including Zen. He found that being mindful not only helped him greatly but also pointed to a different way of being in the world.

From there he went back to university and after graduating, enjoyed working as a psychologist for 30 years. His work took him to many remote areas of the Northern Territory where he worked with adults and children. He trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as it emphasises a non-pathological approach to the human experience and uses mindfulness as a way to meet and transform our inner experiences. He is also a trainer, with many years teaching various courses from communication skills to mindfulness.

Christian recently became a certified Living Inquiries facilitator and offers this mindfulness-based approach when working with individuals experiencing addictions and trauma.

Christian loves bushwalking, practises tai chi and yoga and enjoys meeting people. He lives in Darwin, has been happily married for 30 years and has two grown children.
