An introduction to Grading Green Coffee Workshop

The following 2-hour course is a non-accredited course that introduces you to the technique of grading Arabica green beans to SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association America) standard. The following course is modelled from Q grade international standards test.
By the end of this class you will be able to:
Identify Category 1 and Category 2 defects to SCAA Arabica green bean standards.
Demonstrate the grading process by sorting and identifying category 1 & 2 beans.
Grade coffee as specialty or non-specialty to SCAA Arabica green beans standards.
Complete green bean grading test using grading test as per SCAA standards and Q grade license.
Classes are limited to 4 people to maximise time and attention offered by your facilitator. A Proud Mary Coffee Roasters professional & licensed Q grader, will supply valuable resources to support your training and deliver learning with the approach to 'get your hands dirty' practicing the required skill and knowledge for green bean grading standards.
Will this training qualify me for the Q grade test?
No! The following course provides training only, not accreditation. This training will hold you in good steed for when you choose to become involved in obtaining a Q grade licence.
