About the course
A short out-of-school-hours 2 hour course that is an introduction to coding for teachers of Primary students using iPad apps that develop programming and coding skills with activities that include problem-solving, sequencing, designing, mathematical and computational skills, gamification and simple code in fun and interactive ways that engage young students.
This not an introduction to the iPad, but an introduction to coding and is suitable for teachers that are beginners to the concept of computer programming or would like to learn about new strategies and resources.
Also includes some robotics aimed at Primary students. Includes hands-on time to try some of the apps in a supportive environment.
NOTE: This course is a QTC APPROVED REFRESHER COURSE for overseas and returning teachers.
Can I pay by cheque?

What should I bring to the event?
An iPad, preferably with the most recent IOS update and the suggested apps (this is not essential but will help you get the most of the hands-on help on the day). You will be sent an email prior to the course with a list of suggested apps, most of which will be FREE.
There are no refunds for cancellation of tickets, but a ticket for a subsequent course will be offered.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.
