Thank you for registering with The Makers Studio Central Coast Inc Members Workshop ‘Aluminium Etching An Introduction’ being held on 7 May 2022.

Date: 7 May 2022
Time: 10:00 to 16:00hrs
Venue: Building 3 Lions Community Hall,
8 Russell Drysdale StEast Gosford (entrance at the rear of the building)
At this workshop you will learn how to prepare your aluminium plate before exploring a range of different techniques using hard and soft ground as well as open bite. You will each be supplied with a small pack that will include:
• 3 x ~A5 (15 x 10cm) aluminium plates
• Tracing paper
• 1 x sheet of printmaking paper
The Makers Studio will provide printing ink & tarlatan, contact film, various etching tools, soft ground & open bite materials & copper sulphate acid for use by participants. One sheet of printmaking paper will be available for each participant. Aprons are also available for loan on the day.
Things for you to consider bringing:
• Ideas for images that will fit the plate
• Soft lead pencils
• Any etching tools (if you have them)
• Your lunch
You will need to wear closed in shoes while working in the studio for work health safety reasons. Tea and coffee will be provided.
