Event description

Description

Born in the Korogocho slums in Kenya, Jennifer Gitiri was raised by her single mother under the leaking roof of
a small mud shack. Jennifer’s mother worked each day to earn US$1 or less to feed her family.

When Compassion opened a child development centre in a nearby church, Jennifer had hope for the first time in
her life. Compassion provided everything she needed; food, educational resources, and medical care. They taught
her life skills and introduced her to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

When Jennifer was 14 years old, she was devastated by the death of her mother. Shortly after, in the midst of her
grief, she attended a Compassion camp, where she met Jesus and committed her life to Him.

Jennifer has a powerful story, and it needs to be heard. To hear more of her story and to meet Jennifer in person, we are inviting you to an evening with Compassion Alumni Jennifer Gitiri on Wednesday 8th November.

This is a great opportunity to hear first hand the impact Compassion has and the difference your sponsorship makes.

Please feel free to invite friends and family to this event.

Light supper will be provided.
