Join us for an Evening of Happiness as we celebrate the UN's International Day of Happiness and bring some inspiration to your Tuesday evening.

We'll be hosting a fun and interactive event to celebrate this special day. We've invited some incredible speakers who will give you a taste of various techniques that research suggests can improve your wellbeing and happiness.

We are proud to announce our four keynote speakers:

Dr Addie Wootten

Dr Addie Wootten is the CEO of Smiling Mind, a not-for-profit that works to make mindfulness meditation accessible to all. Addie has doctoral degree from Monash University in the field of clinical psychology. Her previous roles include Director of Clinical and Allied Health Research at the Australian Prostate Cancer Research Centre at Epworth and e-Health research manager at Australian Prostate Cancer Research. Addie has published a large number of papers in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters and is a sought after speaker.

Greta Bradman

Greta Bradman is one of Australasia’s most celebrated operatic and concert artists. She has performed for world leaders from the UK, USA, China, India, Monaco and Australia; highlights include singing for Barack Obama, and a 2014 recital in St James’s Palace for the British Royal Family. Greta is a holder of a Masters Degree in Psychology and sits on the advisory boards of the Australian Mental Health Prize and the Arts Wellbeing Collective.

Dr Lindsay Oades

Dr Lindsay Oades is Director and Professor at the Centre for Positive Psychology and coordinates the Masters of Applied Positive Psychology at the University of Melbourne. He's published more than 100 peer reviewed journal articles and chapters on wellbeing, recovery and coaching. He recently visited Bhutan, the first country in the world to measure Gross National Happiness.

Nicole Lee

Nicole Lee is the founder Chi Space, a studio dedicated to the practice of Qigong, in Balaclava, Melbourne. Nicole teaches Integrative and Classical Qigong and is internationally trained and accredited. Nicole facilitates classes and workshops in Qigong as well as various other forms of meditation that incorporate mindfulness, sound and contemplation. Nicole holds a Bachelor in Complementary Medicine and integrates her knowledge of natural and traditional medicine into the practice of qigong and meditation.

The evening will be hosted by the fabulous Dr Jo Mitchell, co-founder of The Mind Room and board member of Action for Happiness Australia. 100% of profits from the event will go to support our work to create a happier and more compassionate society.

We'll also be serving light refreshments.
