Event description
Introducing Wayapa - An indigenous wellbeing modality supporting educators to embed sustainability & indigenous perspectives.

About this Event

Wayapa® is an earth connection movement practice based on the Indigenous wisdom and connection to the Earth as the starting point for creating Earth Mind Body Spirit well-being.

This seminar will provide educational professionals with an introduction to the mindful movement practice of Wayapa.

This combination of earth mindfulness, narrative meditation and movement with purpose can support educators to bring to children a meaningful way to connect with the environment, calm the mind and enhance respect for indigenous perspectives.

In addition to experiencing the elemental movements, discussions will build a greater understanding for educators to use this modality in order to foster wellbeing, embed Indigenous wisdom and strengthen environmental responsibility and sustainability.
