Event description

Description

Be amazed by our inspirational speakers and topics in the fourth speaker session on Day 2 of AMAZE.

Workplace of the future (Ashok Krish) Digital disruption is changing the nature of the workplace. From ambient awareness to chatops, virtual assistants and augmented and mixed reality, this talk will present a provocative view of the workplace of the future.

The dawn of quantum computing (Michelle Simmons.) Recognised for creating the field of atomic electronics, Scientia Professor Simmons has pioneered a radical and powerful technology for creating electronic devices in silicon with atomic precision.

The Internet of Value: Why Blockchain is a true paradigm shift (Michael Eidel). Blockchain has the potential to become the beating heart of the financial industry, however, it is only one of many transformative technologies that will shape the future of financial services, including AI, quantum, robotics, biometrics amongst others. Michael will discuss the true value of Blockchain – enabling decentralized transfers of value, which is more than just transferring money: “tokens” can represent various types of value like currencies (fiat, crypto), assets (land, cars) or rights (votes). And it’s programmable with rules built-in using smart contracts. After years of experimentation, the industry seems to enter the next (exciting) phase of commercialization. But we still wait for a true break-through in an industry.

Financial Wellbeing Innovation: Data, Digital & Behavioural Sciences (Mohamed Khalil). Innovation requires asking who do you want your customers to become. In this brief talk, Mo will discuss how our vision of securing and enhancing wellbeing created opportunities to leverage the latest in data, digital and behavioural sciences in new ways to drive better experiences and outcomes. Mo will briefly cover how the team enabled real time insights and behaviourally designed interventions using the latest in data engineering and data science.
