Description

Be amazed by our inspirational speakers and topics in the third speaker session on Day 2 of AMAZE.

The future of cities (Jason Twill). Doughnut Urbanism: This talk will explore how bioregionalism, new economic models, collaborative living and regenerative design may inform advanced approaches to urbanisation that may reverse global warming and support humanities efforts toward planetary stabilisation. Jason will discuss a framework for thinking and designing cities that can enable human populations to live equitably within the biological limits of their regions.

Imperfect security (Adam Smallhorn). The cyber threat landscape is growing faster than society’s ability to secure it. Every app, every website, every connected device is a target. Despite all the technological advances, many attacks still focus on the human weakest link. Learn about the growing threats in cyber security and how you can help defend yourself in this increasingly connected world.

Designing services for tomorrow's customer (Bronwyn van der Merwe). The rise of artificial intelligence and adoption of new technologies are demanding organisations design for change. By enabling people and machines to get the best from one another, organisations can combine strengths to design around customers. Machine and human coexistence needs to be rethought, designed for the customer experience now.

Creating secure digital payments (Matt Barr). Card not present fraud represents over 70% of card fraud in Australia. As digital payments grow exponentially, providing secure and frictionless digital payments is an imperative for our industry.
