Event description

Description

Be amazed by our inspirational speakers and topics in the second speaker session on Day 2 of AMAZE.

Technology trends shaping Australia’s future (Adam Burden) Annually, Accenture explores individual technology trends highlighting new or evolving technologies and their emerging impact. Some technologies already play a role in the strategies of leading companies, while others are just emerging. Viewed collectively, our trends provide a guidepost for companies to consider future resources, responsibilities, and opportunities for success.

Innovation + Social business – Banking for purpose (CommBank Innovation Labs) What are the biggest changes happening in society right now due to technology and innovation? How is CommBank preparing for the future as an organisation? Why does any of this even matter if we aren’t using innovation to improve the world we live in? This talk looks at how we can use exponential change to tackle the world’s biggest problems.

Artificial Intelligence to Enhance Your Life (Jason Loh) A showcase of how analytically-driven artificial intelligence will significantly change the way businesses interact with you in the future. From chat bots to real-time sentiment detection in videos, this presentation will cover how advancements in analytics, through deep learning and natural language technology, now allows analysis of a wider range of data – uniquely personalised to you. This presentation will also include an audience participation component, allowing volunteers to try an example of these capabilities, live on stage.

Exploring uncertainty with doubt (Tea Uglow) Doubt is our universal skeleton key. It opens doors to self-enquiry, scientific-enquiry, philosophical, artistic and existential enquiry. Tea will be talking about new technology such as ARCore and blockchain, and about her team's explorations in NFC tech and their collaborative projects with museums, theatres and pub globally. She talks about doubt and uncertainty as the key driving force behind the team's creative experiments at the intersection of digital innovation and traditional culture.
