Am I Right, Ladies? hosted by Mel Buttle
Event Information
Description
This Bris Funny Fest, Heya Bar welcomes a great wave of funny women to the stage for two nights of comedy that are less 'doll face', more droll face.
As seen on The Weekly with Charlie Pickering and host of The Great Australian Bake Off, you’ll be squirming like worms at the hand of Mel Buttle, whose show I Can’t Believe It’s Not Buttle sparked Herald Sun to note she’s fast becoming one of Australia’s greatest comics. Headlined by Jasmine Fairbairn – the converse-clad modern mum fresh from her sold-out show ‘Swimming in the Seas of Failure’, these funny ladies place the cherry on top of a layer cake of up-and-coming Australian comics.
Acts include the darkly intelligent Ting Lim (seriously, watch yourself), the saucy and soupy founder of Soup at The Milk Factory Michelle Azevedo, the skeptically scathing librarian of your dreams Lauren Randall, co-founder of the Crosstown Comedy Club and sometimes founder of her house keys Jordan Kadell, and Erin Michelle – a phoenix bird making snow angels in the ashes of her former lives.
From nationally recognised comedians, to up-and-coming comics, you can count on being certifiably fed with a night of all-girl, all great standup comedy.
