Alternative water schemes – managing whole of life cycle costs
Wed. 29 March 2017, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm ACDT
With several metropolitan Adelaide councils currently operating alternative water schemes to either meet the irrigation supply needs of their parks and recreational assets or as a service provider to other organisations and groups, many are looking for efficiencies in how they maintain and operate their systems.
This seminar explores:
- optimisation of pumping operations to minimise energy consumption
- the nature, frequency and costs of operating and maintaining alternative water
- end of life asset renewal
- performance and reliability of systems to deliver water of suitable quality for aquifer injection and associated monitoring requirements and cost, system sustainability, and any other risks to current funding models.

Ticket cancellation policy
For most Water Sensitive SA free events we are over-subscribed and have interest participants on waitlists. You can imagine our frustration when we have several “no shows” with no advice to give us an opportunity to release more tickets. In lieu of charging our partners for seminars and introducing higher charges for non-members, we are trialling a new model for pricing of events. If you subscribe to a free event and can no longer attend, you must provide three (3) business day’s notice of the ticket cancellation via email to Kathryn Bothe . If the required notice is not provided Water Sensitive SA will invoice your organisation a “no show” fee. On this occasion the fee will be $100.00 + GST
