Description

Advanced Mixing for Dance Music

Hosted by SUB-human - aka - Alexander Braithwaite

Alex’s career started 10 years ago under the alias ‘Trumpdisco’ which saw him playing shows the world over, including tours of South Korea, Europe and Australia, alongside festivals in Canada and South Africa.

Trumpdisco was infamous for creative remixes and in 2014 the Trumpdisco remix of Kanye West’s ‘Black Skinhead’ was used as the opening sequence for the MTV VMAs.

\In 2017 Alex rebranded to SUB-human signing his first EP to Flux Pavilion’s Circus Records. With a string of high profile remixes and releases throughout 2018, SUB-human saw himself playing in Japan and even the famous Brixton Academy in London.

Throughout his career, Alex refined his mixing and mastering skills on his own work, until 2014 when he picked up his first clients ‘Slumberjack’. Their debut EP was a huge success which propelled Alex’s career as an engineer, where he now regularly mixes for clients such as Carmada, L D R U, Yahtzel, Enschway, Golden Features to name a few, and continues his work with Slumberjack.

The 3-hour workshop will include:

    • Unconventional Mixing techniques which are vital for creating loud AND punchy tracks.
    • Alex will open one of his new unreleased tracks and showcase all the steps throughout his mixing process - up until a finished, mastered track.
    • Career tips and tricks for upcoming producers and engineers alike.
    • Demonstrating the ability to create huge mixes using minimal equipment.
